Welcome to the Suburbs New Lynn Cricket Club website.

The Suburbs New Lynn Cricket Club is based at Ken Maunder Park, Binsted Road, New Lynn and is one of Auckland's leading Cricket clubs and has a long and proud history.

The Suburbs Cricket Club was founded in 1945 and subsequently amalgamated with the Blockhouse Bay and New Lynn Clubs in 1972 to form the Suburbs New Lynn Cricket Club. At that time the club established itys headquarters at Ken Maunder Park, which is bordered on its north side by the Whau River.

The playing fields provide for two grass blocks and two artificial wickets which are in constant use throughout the summer season. Excellent practice facilities are available with four enclosed nets and runs ups being carpeted in astrograss turf. The club is also in the process of building a new indoor training facility on the park. The estimated completion date for this facility is April 2009.

The SNLCC share the clubhouse located at Ken Maunder Park with the Lynn Avon Association Football Club. The pavilion overlooks the playing area and is a two storey building containing spacious changing room and showering facilities, together with a lounge and kitchen area on the lower level.

Upstairs the main lounge and bar opens out on to an excellent viewing balcony. This area provides an outstanding environment for social and general club activities. The clubhouse pavilion is also scheduled to be upgraded in 2009.

The club fields teams in a variety of Two Day and One Day grades in the Auckland Cricket Association's Men's and Youth competitions. At Intermediate and Primary level it has a number of sides which compete in the Greater Auckland and Western Districts Schoolchildren's Saturday morning competitions.
